Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Major Intersection: Leslie Street and Commerce Valley Drive E

Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday)

7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (On Fridays)

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $27.75 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

Install new electrical services and maintain existing factory electrical systems and equipment
Diagnose root causes of electrical malfunctions and prepare plans to solve problems
Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical components of machinery.
Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring and provide appropriate service.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controller’s (PLC).
Provide regular maintenance to the building safety lighting system.
Perform other duties related to the position

Job Requirements:

Must possess a valid 309A or 442A electrician license in good standing.
Experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position
Experience in using diagnostic instrument such as oscilloscope and variable power supply
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Capable of working with diagnostic instrument such as oscilloscope and variable power supply
Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC’s
Comfortable with working at heights
Propane counterbalance forklift license will be considered an asset
